​The South Elgin and Countryside Fire Protection District

is currently accepting applications for part-time firefighters.


We accept part-time applications for persons who have a minimum of a Firefighter II Certificate and are either a Paramedic (preferred) or an EMT-B.  Please contact Assistant Chief Dave Schmidt or Battalion Chief Bill Eckles at (847) 741-2141 to learn about a possible Firefighter Recruit Program sponsorship.  ​
