STAFFING
The South Elgin & Countryside FPD is a combination department with full-time and part-time members. Our current staffing consists of 38 full-time and 10 part-time firefighters, each full-time Firefighter is a Paramedic and the Part-Time Firefighters are at minimum Emergency Medical Technicians. We also staff a full-time Administrative Office Manager, full-time Civilian Fire Inspector and a part-time Fire Prevention Bureau Office Assistant.

APPARATUS 
The Fire District operates 4 engines (two being ALS), 1 tender, 1 tower ladder,
3 ALS ambulances, 2 rescue boats, 1 dive van, 1 hazmat trailer, 5 staff vehicles and 1 brush truck.

FIRE STATIONS
We have 3 stations manned 24 hours a day:
Station # 21 is located at 1090 W. Spring Street,  
Station # 22 is located at 2055 McDonald Rd,
​Station # 23 is at 498 A South Elgin Boulevard, all in the Village of South Elgin.
